My name is Jasmine Dell and I attend the University of Missouri, School of Journalism with a graduation date of December 2015. I graduated from Lewis Palmer High School in Monument, Colorado and attended my freshman year at Metropolitan State University of Denver before enrolling at the University of Missouri.
Outside of the classroom and work, I’m the President for Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM). I have been the President of AWSM from 2013 to 2015. During these two years I gained approximately 50 new members to AWSM University of Missouri Student Chapter. In addition, I assist the ESPN sideline reporters during University of Missouri football games. I was born at Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Missouri and raised in a military family, the first of two children. My family moved around several times during my youth to include living abroad in Republic of Panama and Germany. I have traveled to many countries and speak German as a foreign language. Playing fast-pitch softball was a passion from elementary school through high school. My primary position was pitcher and also played second base. In 2006, I led my European team to the Little League World Series in (Beaverton) Portland, Oregon. Lastly, I enjoyed playing tennis in high school as a second sport. I have held a job outside of the classroom throughout college and currently work at Landmark Bank in Columbia. I’ve stepped up to the challenge to maintain high academic standards while attending the top Journalism School in the country. Lastly, I’m successful because of God’s blessings and thankful for his influence. |
